DECEMBER 2011

Along with all Community Councillors in Scotland, all of Abernethy’s Community Councillors have had to stand down, and if they wish stand for re election with effect from 3rd November.

Three of our existing councillors have put themselves forward again, and five new nominees have come forward. As we have nine places available, it means that we do not need to have an election, and your new Community Councillors are:-

• Bill Hughes         
• Angus MacIntyre         
• Colin Morrison
• Alistair Robinson

The minutes for our meetings are posted on the village notice board outside the Surgery in Main Street – should you wish to contact us, the email is abernethycommunitycouncil@pkc.gov.uk

The first meeting of the Community Council will take place in the Primary School at 7:30 pm on November 17th, where we will elect individuals to the posts of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, and set dates for future meetings – all of which will be published in the next edition of the Crier.

Our meetings are public meetings and we look forward to seeing you there.
