SNOW THANK YOUS

March 2011

The people of Abernethy owe a great debt of gratitude to Brian Greig and Duncan Scott. Thanks to them we all had access to provisions during those weeks when Abernethy was more or less snow-bound and very few people were able to venture anywhere by car.

However Duncan with his 4x4 and Brian with his list of requirements bravely faced the elements and brought in the supplies.

I am sure we all realise and appreciate how important it is to have such a well stocked local shop. What would we have done without Brian, Duncan and the ladies behind the counter?

WELL DONE AND THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH FOR LOOKING AFTER US ALL IN ABERNETHY.

CASTLELAW CRESCENT

On behalf of the Residents of Castlelaw Crescent, we would like to thank Double M Dairy for making deliveries of milk to us EVERY DAY during the bad weather, also the local Friendly Farmer who cleared our road with the snow plough.

The Residents appreciated this very much.

THE MILK ALWAYS GETS THROUGH

During the severe weather which lasted from late November to mid January,

Our postal deliveries were disrupted, and we had to wait 8 weeks for an oil delivery,

Hats off to Double M Dairy who never once failed to deliver to our doorstep.

THE BAUK

Molly Foote wishes to express her thanks to Steve for clearing the snow from The Bauk and for keeping the road open during the long weeks of wintry weather
