YOGA CLASSES

           7.15pm Mondays  (term time only)

           Dunbarney School, Bridge of Earn

When I moved to the area 10 years ago two women at the Bridge of Earn toddler group said to me that this class meant they ‘were able to do things they never thought they could do’. Whether they meant physically or mentally I never asked I was so impressed.

I have been going to this class now for 10 years give or take some months pre and post pregnancies. Yoga is of course suitable and beneficial for pregnant women (with proper advice). I feel as if I have missed something if I miss the class – I find it very therapeutic and good for my now more injury prone limbs as I get older! All ages are welcome of course. Another good recommendation for the class is that some ladies have been coming for over 30 years!

The teacher Hilda Clow is an excellent example of the benefits of yoga – she can do the splits and if I am half as flexible as her in my old age I’ll be delighted. She is also always cheerful, positive and friendly and has a very calming voice which is very relaxing during the class. I can’t say too many nice things about her because I know she’ll be reading this!

We have room for a few more and Hilda also runs a class in Cupar a different night if Mondays don’t suit. Yoga is not for everyone but if you’re been thinking about it or been before and got out of the habit or run out of time why not give it a go. All you need is comfortable clothing and either a blanket or mat (ideally both).
